About Me!

My name is An Truong, but I go better by Anne because it is easier to pronounce. My mum named me originally named me because it means "peace" in Chinese, which is quite ironic because I am not Chinese, I am Vietnamese. I am 5 ft. 9 in. and though it was something I used to be embarrassed about, I've become quite proud of what a tall Asian girl I am. I hope to become a psychology (or neuroscience) professor when I graduate, since my favorite subjects are psychology and biology. My favorite food is fried chicken, which I eat every Tuesday, and I have a horrible fear of people hating me. The way that I think is that the people you meet are a reflection of who you are, and I am absolutely terrified whenever I meet someone who absolutely dislikes me. I know I am human and imperfect, so having people dislike me is inevitable, but it is absolute distaste which I fear because I hope to impact people in somewhat a positive way, if not completely or greatly, at least in some kind of small way. I am definitely a behaviorist at heart and completely believe in tabula rasa (I guess because I am not extremely religious. My views on afterlife are still hazy and the only religious concept that I somewhat believe in is the beginning of humankind and history). The little evidence of how twins on opposite sides of the earth act distinctively similar little sways, though does intrigue me.
