I hope that my website will resemble my project and since my project revolves around young children in daycare, I hope to use that same kind of childish theme. The main color scheme will definitely have paler colors with lots of yellow. For font type, I hope to use something like Kristin ITC or another juvenile looking font so people can keep the premature mindset while reading about my curriculum.

 I.    Begin preliminary identification of Presentation Capstone elements.

a&b) My Capstone project presentation will definitely be more informational than anything. I hope to have enough copies of my curriculum syllabus to hand out to anyone interested. My visual aids will be the Powerpoint Presentation, and the rest of the objects I will be using (including my poster) will be strictly for advertising and attracting attention as well as sponsors to sponsor my project. It will be very formal with the exception of a few jokes to recapture attention.

i. My Capstone project will not be using any kind of explanatory props other than my poster, my power point, my syllabus copies, and myself. I don't see a need for explanatory props. My project has a very abstract concept that can only be represented with verbal communication and talking and actual activity, not with a model I can particularly point at with little bits of information.

ii. I will present it the way all posters are presented: by the bullet. I have a lot of information on my poster that will most likely be replicated--in a way--in my powerpoint presentation, and by making references in both directions, I hope my project sticks out most. Repetition is the key to memorization, which is why most advertisements that play over and over are more likely to stick in your head. My presentation is somewhat the same way with information that is meant to be stuck in your head.

 iii. I don't particularly see a need or reason to fabricate a 3D model of some sort. If anything, I will definitely print out extra copies of my curriculum syllabus, which is kind of like a model. My project has a very abstract concept that can only be represented with verbal communication and talking and actual activity, not with a model I can particularly point at with little bits of information.

 iv. I hope to portray either as a daycare caretaker or a business woman because either I will teach this concept as a teacher would teach it or I would pitch it as a business deal--I still have yet decided. I am more likely to wear a business suit, however, because it is much more convenient and in a way, this presentation will kind of be like a business presentation. I will not be talking to toddlers the way I hope the daycare will be doing, so I think this dress code would be much safer.

 v. I definitely hope to emphasize the fact that extroverted personalities are much more preferred in low-context cultures because it is a concept not very many people can easily grasp, thinking that the introvert has better work ethic and such. I hope to also emphasize the fact that personalities are still malleable before the age of 5, which is exactly why I hope to propose this idea to daycares rather than other kinds of schools.

500 Words to Describe My Capstone Project

I.  a) My project will definitely be more on the serious side, however I will include a few humorous jokes now and then in order to ease the tension. I hope to present it as either a pitching a business sales idea or teaching a class. This is a significant detail because in the future, I hope to become a university professor and so it's recommended that I start practicing lectures and such. Not only so, but creating this curriculum and syllabus will help because I can practice creating the curriculum and making syllabi for my future classes.
    b) I think my poster really is a good visual aid for the presentation because not only does it have guiding information that compliments my project, it also is designed to please the eye as well as have a theme, with the neurons in the background and the fonts. I intended to make the title fonts have opposite feelings from each other in order to symbolize the dramatic difference between introverts and extroverts.
    c) Though my poster, powerpoint, and print materials are primarily informational, they can somewhat be considered persuasive because of how beneficial my project can potentially be. They serve their purposes because I hope to be more informative than anything other. Unfortunately, informational outlooks are always the most attractive, thus the poster will help attract more listeners. My powerpoint will hopefully make it easier for my audience to understand without being too distracted by the flashy attraction points.
    d) For support materials, I am using a powerpoint, the poster, my capstone paper, a physical copy of my curriculum syllabus, and a chart of human psychological development. Each of these serve a purpose in attraction (so that my project will have a larger audience) and I can accumulate more listeners as well as potential sponsors, thus increasing my chance of success and actually pitching my idea.
    e) I will be using a lot of hand gestures and use my speaking skills from speech to really relate to the audience. I will also ask a lot of questions to help keep them interested and use their answers to conform to their style of thinking. For example, audience members who don't have children may not be interested in a daycare curriculum, however, I can still relate this topic by mentioning that they live in the United States and that the future society of the United States can possibly be changed by my project.
     f)  a curriculum for a daycare that specifically focuses on forming the children's minds to become more extroverted and form thoughts and ideas based on an extroverted way of thinking. That is, to think of ideas in order to share them with the rest of the population. I hope to attract the attention of my audience with my poster and powerpoint. For actual interested potential sponsors and judges, I will hand them a copy of the curriculum's syllabus and agenda, but as for normal onlookers, I will let them read and look over the syllabus.

Capstone Project Statement of Intent

a) The goal of my project is to push the future generation of the United States to become more extroverted, sociable, and communicative by providing a curriculum for daycares to follow that includes team-building activities and encourages children to reach out of their comfort zones to interact with each other.
b) This is important because in a low-context society like ours, extroverted personalities are much more preferred over introverted personalities. Not only so, but more open communication can provoke innovation and advancement in our population as a whole.
c) I hope to become a psychology professor and I feel that understanding these two types of personalities will help me modify my class to fit each learning style perfectly. Not only so, but personality types are a matter of psychology and the extra research can't hurt.
d) My project gives back to the community because it helps the future generation, small groups at a time, become more extroverted, which stimulates innovation in society as a whole and each child that grows up with such a personality are more likely to succeed in low-context cultures.
